About the Binary Monk
I've been involved in building real estate on the internet since the fall of 1998. At that time, I was enrolled in an MBA course at Seattle Pacific University, and one of my courses required that I learn HTML. It turns out that I found HTML and the web to be much more exciting than the statistical analysis of a company's 10 year growth, and I left both my MBA program and my job at Alaska Airlines to start my own web development company.
Since then, I've worked as a freelance developer, contract employee, and part- and full-time employee for several businesses and organizations, including Qwest, Fuller Theological Seminary, and the California Institute of Technology.
I've also picked up a master's degree in Theology (M.Div.), and have been ordained as a priest in the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church. I currently serve as Vicar of a small parish in Puyallup, WA.
The plan. The goal.
Since clergy in my communion are entirely self-supported, the best jobs are those that allow clergy to be readily available to the parishioners. In short, a job in which one can set his own hours, and still provide his clients with a stellar product. Self employed web developers have such a job. Ergo, the development of this business which will provide you, my client, with a top-quality web site or web application, while allowing me the opportunity to fulfill my calling as a minister.
What can you do?
